We are currently recruiting for a Risk and Worker's Compensation Manager for a large manufacturing organization in Sacramento. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and be able to multi-task in a busy environment. This role manages, coordinates and facilitates organization-wide efforts to ensure the risk managementprograms are meeting the needs of the organization and community served.

Responsibilities: Directs aprogram to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and loss forecasting purposes, and estimating the financial value of claims. Reviews and evaluates all work-relatedaccident reports; analyzes data to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. Participates in strategic planning in order to reduce the incidence of workers' compensation-related injuries. Assembles appropriate medical information and facts regarding claims for cases pending litigation; acts as a representative of the company at Workers' Compensation Administration mediation and formal hearings. Builds, maintains, and manages relationships with claims adjusters, insurers, outside legal counsel, and other claims related parties. Publishes management information on claim stats: frequency, severity, cost, closure rates, modified duty and other measurements. Manages annual insurance renewal and policy negotiations and services. Works with operations/safety to design and implement action plan on injury prevention. Develops return to work policy and procedure-implement return to work with operations.

Requirements: 3+-years' experience in workers' compensation or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and OSHA reporting. Familiarity with HIPAA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA laws. Proficiency with data analysis and loss runs. Experience in reviewingand analyzing occurrences, data, and medical records. Ability to identify trends and create corrective action plans. Strong vendor management and project management skills.
