Retirement Benefits Specialist
Responsibilities: Administer Retirement Plan, Savings Plan, and retiree medical plans. Consult employees regarding pension benefit pay-out options, taxation options, forms to complete, and facilitate enrollmentfrom start to finish. Accurately calculate pension and retiree medical benefits for eligible recipients and any employees inquiring about future eligibility. Document and input all plan and payment data into the company system, including input of any future requested changes. Manage and configure distributions and payments from the Retirement Plan in the company system, keeping records of all pension payments. Support Human Resources and Payrollteams with any research, reporting or special projects as needed related to the company's Retirement and Pension programs. Perform data research and data base updates. Audit and reconcile retirement data on a monthly and quarterly basis. Continuously support any retiree requests for changes to their retirement services.
Requirements: BA/BS degree in business or relevant field of study or equivalent education and experience. 2-3 years of related professional experience required. Experience with Retirement benefits, plan administration, and ERISA law required. Experience with DC/DB 403 required. Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel preferred. Ability to think critically and problem solve. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
