A non-profit healthcare organization in Sacramento is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developmental disabilities or public health and will work on the front lines of early intervention for clients with disabilities. This is a direct hire opportunity for a practice that provides a work/life balance as well as CALPERS benefits. The Behavioral Health RN will be responsible for assessing applicants for eligibility for services, provide evaluation, assessments, and consultation, as well as address client needs in alignment with the practice standard procedures. Responsibilities: Perform behavioral health assessments for determination of qualifying services. Provide support to clients and families and establish close working relationship with client and families for continued care services. Address concerns and questions regarding diagnosis, medical conditions, and eligibility status. Work with staff and Service Providers to ensure appropriate and quality services. Monitor services, service delivery, and support for clients to ensure they address the overall needs of the client and promote a positive outcome. Work quickly and proactively to address and resolve issues and concerns. Promote and preserve a collaborative and productive environment and culture.

Requirements: BSN or MSN required with RN License from the State of California and one year of nursing experience required.(Public or Behavioral health and qualifying diagnosis is a plus) Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. Knowledge of developmental disabilities and qualifying diagnosis. Excellent active listening and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and time management. Knowledge of community organization and resources, and programs and services forthe developmentally disabled. Ability to work with all age ranges from infant to geriatric.
