Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service regarding the management of referrals for patients requiring specialty services from contracted medical groups, hospital systems, and third-parties. Review confidential clinical information and determine if requested/required services are available within the medical network. Facilitate patient referrals to the appropriate medical facilities, programs, affiliated and aligned specialists. Create smooth and efficient referral workflow for external sources, leveraging evolving technology and interoperability tools.
Requirements: 2+ years' experience in the healthcare field. Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience in a case management setting a plus. Proficient with MS Office and working with various database systems. Knowledge of medical insurance required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong multi-tasking ability. Abilityto use good judgement and clear a criminal background check.
