Quality Assurance Manager with Food Safety Experience
Greater Sacramento Area, CA | Temporary Position
Responsibilities: Responsible for managing product food safety and quality programs. Responsible for developing and on-going maintenance of the Food Safety Plan. Manages any/all customer complaints leading investigations, analyzing the information providing documentation and formal response. Actively provides new and on-going training of employees to ensure the Food Safety Plan is understood and executed properly. Ensures all HACCP, GMP's, sanitation preventive controls, supply chain preventive controls and all other prerequisite food safety standards are met according to USDA, FDA, FSIS, FSMA and corporate requirements. Manages verification and validation procedures. Conducts regular organoleptic and shelf life evaluations of finished product. Oversees all food safety audits, Customer audits and Accreditation Audits.
Requirements: B.S. Degree in food technology, food science, or related curriculum and/or experience required. HACCP program development and FSMA is required. HACCP certification, Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCQI) and GFSI auditor certification a must. Experience with BRC and ISO 14001 certification process and maintenance a plus. Extensive knowledge in the areas ofHACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, FDA, USDA, Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO Project. Strong data management, reporting, and technical writing skills. Effective and timely verbal and written communications.
