Are you a driven Project Engineer who is eager to fast track into a Project Manager career while enjoying some travel along the way? We have a phenomenal career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a growing global R&D division led directly by headquarters in Europe. Leadership is looking to mentor this Project Engineer into managing full scope national projects. The Project Engineer will be based in the US Operations location in Sacramento. This role is heavy customer facing to ensure delivery of services within the agreed timeframe, budget and scope of the project. The Project Engineer must value customer relationships with a proactive approach to providing solutions, and be flexible for up to 30% travel to customer sites nationwide, and travel to Headquarters in Europe 1-3 times a year.

Responsibilities: Point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders (primarily engineers) regarding ongoing projects, ensuring delivery meets requirements. Determine customer technical needs and requirements. Manage all technical and non-technical project activities such as planning, resourcing, monitoring, reporting and risk, issue and dependency management. Handle all contractual documents. Communicate on a regular basis with different internal departments: sales, presales, finance, R&D coordinator etc. Ensure necessary follow-up and maintain good customer relationships. Manage stakeholders expectations to deliver projects on scope, schedule and within budget.

Requirements: Must have at least 3-5 years manufacturing project engineering experience. Must have at least 1-2 years customer facing project management. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. PMP Certification preferred. Highly motivated to work in an 'engineering-to-order' environment. Proactive approach to problem solving. Excellent decision making, communication and analytical skills. Strong customer service and proactive approach to problem solving. Demonstrated leadership managing multiple complex projects. Travel up to 30% nationwide, with some travel to HQs inEurope.
