Payroll and Accounting Specialist
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Processes bi-weekly payroll for all employee groups; performs complex payroll calculations. Manage and maintain the integrity of the payroll reporting software systems. Verifies information received from employees on relevant company forms; audits, corrects and balances payroll and a variety of reports. Processes adjustments; enters information into the payroll system, researches and resolves discrepancies. Coordinates the distribution and/or mailing of payroll checks and statements. Produces and disseminates payroll reports weekly and bi-weekly. A/P and A/R processing of about 50 invoices weekly including cutting and issuing checks for Vendors. Entering A/P and A/R info into the general ledger and process credit card payments for appropriate vendors. Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: 3 years hands on experience with heavy computerized payroll. Accounting knowledge including payroll, accounts payable, general ledger and reconciliation experience. Proven skills in ADP Payroll or another computerized payroll processing software. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise and effective manner verbally. Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Word processing: Minimum 45 words per minute. Demonstrated 10-key by touch.
