Responsibilities: Processes all non-exempt and exempt employee payroll. Process employee disability claims and coordinates disability/credit union payments. Verify the monthly premium statements for all medical, dental and vision insurance policies and processes payments. Responds to employee and manager/supervisor questions. Resolves problems or concerns. Balances monthly payroll and conducts bank and General Ledger reconciliations. Posts payroll to General Ledger. Prepares and distributes various payroll/personnel reports on an ongoing basis. Completes all personnel related reports required by State and Federal Government and assigned by manager. Responsible for the proper filing of all employees related tax forms. Works with payroll service to disburse W-2's to employees at year end. Balances quarterly tax returns and annual W-2's to year-end totals with federal, state and local tax agencies as needed. Updates payroll procedures as needed. Performs duties in compliance with all Credit Union regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), business courses preferred. Some college level courses or equivalent work experience. Minimum two years' experience processing payroll for 300 or more employees. Knowledge of automatedpayroll systems required.
