We are searching for a Payroll Specialist for a Health Care company based in the Gold River area. This is a newly created position as our client recently relocated their corporate office to Folsom. Contract to hire position. Apply today!

Responsibilities: Process weekly transfer of payroll data to ADP. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Work with management to reconcile payroll prior to transmission. Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls accurately and timely. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and communicate any payroll changes to employees as appropriate. Perform payroll analysis as required. Ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll taxes and other withholdings. Coordinate with HR on employee leaves of absence and associated payroll changes. Create and own processes to control and provide accountability for payroll-related requests. Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements: 2-4 years of experience processing payroll. Strong knowledge of Federal and California State regulations. Strong technical skills including proficiency in Excel and payroll systems experience working with ADP preferred. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree of professionalism. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material. Excellent communication skills with ability to explain payroll matters in easily-understood terms.
