Payroll Specialist - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Complete timely and accurate weekly payroll processing through check cutting and direct deposit processing; ensuring accuracy of wages, deductions, fringes, taxes and all related job costing, general ledger posting, and filings; working with superintendents to ensure accuracy of timecards and correct for inaccuracies. Deductions processing - advances and garnishments; tracking and transmittals. Performs trouble-shooting to identify and correct payroll problems; assists employees by answering general questions regarding payroll procedures. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. Two (2) years of related work experience in full cycle in-house payroll. Strong attention to detail and able to keep up in a fast paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management and organizational skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
