Responsibilities: Processes bi-weekly payroll for all employee groups; performs complex payroll calculations. Manage and maintain the integrity of the HRIS and payroll reporting softwaresystems. Verifies information received from employees on relevant company forms; audits, corrects and balances payroll and a variety of reports. Compiles data, calculates complex retroactive salaries per negotiated contracts and/or appointment forms; produces retroactive payments in addition to normal payroll production. Assists in determining, analyzing, and adjusting employee 403b retirement contributions, company matching and coding. Processes adjustments; enters information into the payroll system, researches and resolves discrepancies. Develops and maintains complex payroll spread sheets; compiles, analyzes, calculates and audits all information received. Coordinates the distribution and/or mailing of payroll checks and statements. Produces and disseminates payroll reports bi-weekly and as requested. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements: 2 years working experience responsibilities with tax-exempt organization performing, planning and organizing payroll activities. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment and to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise and effective manner verbally. Knowledge of and proficiency with double entry computerized accounting.
