Payment Posting Specialist (Healthcare)
Responsibilities: Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts from all insurance payers. Post check payments from patients, facilities, and patient representatives/payees. Review all remittance advices for accuracy to identify errors or questionable data. Research and resolve unapplied/unidentified cash receipts. Reconciles payments and shortages for both paper and electronic Explanation of Benefits (EOB's). Accurately prepareDeposit Summary Sheet for each batch. Uphold Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance guidelines in relation to billing, collections, and PHI information.
Requirements: 1-3 years combination of Cash Posting and Clerical experience. Associates Degree required. Cash Application (Accounts Receivable Clerk) experience preferred.Home health and/or hospice billing and collection experience, including processing claim rejections and denials with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Payer. Excel and Data Entry experience are a MUST. Strong attention to detail. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and manage various work assignments in a fast paced, high volume environment. Type 50 wpm. Ability to use good judgement and clear a criminal background check.
