Patient Services Representative
Responsibilities: Acts as first point of contact for incoming patients, accepting patient referrals and scheduling appointments utilizing EPIC. Facilitates new patient registration, updates patient demographics, schedules patient appointments and follows up with reminders for upcoming appointments. Verifies and/or obtains authorizations for services. Creates and maintains patient charts.
Requirements: Prior experience working as a Patient Service Representative, or Medical Front Office. Health Insurance knowledge - HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other federal and state agencyprograms. Epic experience preferred. Ability to pass on boarding requirements of both a background screening and drug test. Ability to use good judgment. Previous experience with customer service and interacting with patients required. Strong reliability and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. High School diploma or equivalent.
