An Ophthalmology office in the Sacramento area is looking for an experienced Front Office Supervisor to join their team. The Front Office Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Front Office Coordinators and for organizing and coordinating front office operations and processes/procedures. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting the daily operations of a small office and have Ophthalmology/optometry experience. This direct hire position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities: Direct oversight for the front office operations including team management, provider schedule management and execution of special projects. Manage daily processes, including assisting staff with all front office duties, ensuring adherence to practice policies and procedures and implementation of emergency procedures; address staff policy violations and performance issues. Manage employee schedules. Supervise and mentor employees, including training, work assignment delegation, performance evaluations, development of career goals, and disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Resolve and document complex patient situations including escalated complaints, patient terminations, and office incident reporting. Responsibility for Quality Coordination for the office, including Safety, Emergency, HIPAA and Risk preparedness, documentation and training.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years' previous experience in afront office/supervising capacity. Ophthalmology/Optometry experience. Exceptional understanding of medical insurance, referrals and authorizations. Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask. Professional and friendly demeanor. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to use good judgment and able to pass on boarding requirements including drug and background screening.
