Member Service Specialist (L&H Insurance)

Responsibilities: Accurately collect and enter policyholder data, premium and secure information into brokerage and internal systems through thesales processes. Accurately completing and submitting healthcare marketplace paperwork and online applications. Accountable for day to day servicing of individual & family, Medicare and small group health clients. Communicate with group administrators and execute small group renewals. Monthly accounting of new business, broker of record and renewing business with team lead. New business sales of individual, small group and Medicare policies. To include application submission to underwriting, communicating additional underwriting requests, broker of record requests and follow ups with contracted health insurance carriers and members.
Requirements: 3+ years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the area of Health Insurance Sales & Customer Service.Experience working in a call center, queue, environment providing high levels of customer service. Life & Health Agent's licenses required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Ability to articulate health care policies, coverages, benefits, claims, rates, billings. Working knowledge of the process to secure health insurance, with individual carriers and via the Exchange. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communicationskills. Strong customer service and phone etiquette. Proficient computer skills, including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM or other database management program.
