Medical Quality Management Coordinator
Rancho Cordova, CA | Temp-to-Hire Position
Responsibilities: Ensures all quality management and peer review functions are maintained in accordance with policy and standards. Works in conjunction with the Director, Quality Management, Medical Directors, and Director, Risk Management in the development, coordination, implementation and management of comprehensive quality management programs. Develops, implements and administers various process improvement initiatives initiated by the Director, Quality Management and/or the various affiliated medical group quality and/or peer review committees. Ensures the organization meets governmental regulatory requirements and contracted health plan quality of care inquires including all delegated functions pertaining to the patient grievances, quality, ICE reporting, medical record audits, chart audits, etc. Assists in coordinating activities of the medicalgroup and quality committees to meet the requirements of the bylaws, administrative policies, health plan contractual requirements, and committee charters.
Requirements: AA Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience in healthcare quality management. Experience in a multi-specialty environment preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management principles, concepts, standards and regulations with respect to medical office and organizational operations in a managed care environment. Strong critical thinking skills. Excellent project management and problem resolution skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency using a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office suite. Experience with electronic medical records for data mining as it relates to quality and peer review issues.
