Medical Office Coordinator
Responsibilities: Direct oversight for the front office's operations including team management, provider schedule management and execution of special projects. Manage daily processes, including assisting staff with all front office duties, ensuring adherence to practice policies and procedures; address staff policy violations and performance issues accordingly. Oversee and supervise the work of Medical Assistants. Manages employee schedules including shift coverage. Supervises and mentors employees, including training, work assignment delegation, performance evaluations, development of career goals, and disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Resolve and document complexpatient situations including escalated complaints, patient terminations, and office incident reporting. Responsiblefor keeping an open line of communication with all providers as well as upper management. Handle escalated employeerelations concerns with guidance from Practice Administrator. Responsibility for Quality Coordination for the office, including Safety, Emergency, HIPAA and Risk preparedness, documentation and training.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6+ years' relevant administrative, supervisor and/or management experience. Working knowledge of medical office operations. Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), practice management systems and terminology. Working knowledge of various insurance plans and workers compensation insurance. Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance and feedback to other team members. Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS rules and regulations.
