Medical Customer Service Representative

We are seeking several Customer Service Representatives for our client in Sacramento. The Customer Service Representative will answer inbound calls from patients regarding inquiries about patient billing, as well as collecting on patient debts. The ideal candidate is customer service savvy and should have medical billing and collections experience. This is a long term temporary position with potential for hire with an established company.

Responsibilities: Updates and/or creates new patient statements. Explains statement contents/format, charge entries, billing and collection processes, 3rd party payer activities. Acts as first point of contact for incoming customer inquiries and requests by email, phone, and web portal channels. Records, edits, and tracks all customer interactions through customer relationship management tools. Prioritizes service requests and re-assigns or escalates appropriately. Identifies, interprets, analyzes, and researches issues and seeks resolution to meet customer, expectations and within defined service level agreements.

Requirements:2 years' experience in Customer Service. Experience in medical billing and collections or experience in a medical setting is required. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Working knowledge of MS Office and database software/EHR experience a plus.
