Medical Billing Office Assistant
Responsibilities: Prepares and batches billing documentation for submittal. Maintains quality controlof claims, reviewing for accuracy and clarity. Research archived records for billing and collections assistance. Assist with billing adjustments and insurance negotiations. Billing Correspondence. Sort and Distribute Insurance Claims/Correspondence. Assist with some light accounting duties; billing tracking and understanding of general ledger. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: 2 years' medical billing experience preferred; office administration experience. Strong knowledge of medical insurances and eligibility. Ability to work within deadlines and multi-task; understand and follow oral and written instructions. Team player; flexible tocross-train and assist with other tasks. Resourceful, good problem solver, and organized. Ability to use good judgement and clear a criminal background check.
