Marketing Specialist - Direct Hire - San Francisco

RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop writing and/or editing of internal and external communications ensuring the message is consistent and accurate. Coordinate onsite media, pitches news stories, and arranges interviews as needed. Develops, writes and copy edits press releases for distribution to target audiences. Respond to media inquiries while building and maintaining relationships with media representatives, from both mainstream media and trade publications. Research, write and copy edit articles for websites, electronic newsletters and other digital publications. Assist in the content management of multiple social media distribution resources. Manage literature inventory, requests, distribution and shipping.
SKILLS: Must have Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver). Minimum 3 years marketing and copywriting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to prioritize tasks from multiple sources and meet deadlines. Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office is required.
