Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on machines. Installation, modification and repairof production and facility equipment which may include hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or stick/mig welding. Fabrication and installation of metal structures. Set up and operate metal brake, welders, cutters and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. Troubleshoot 110vac, 480vac, DC motors, and equipment. Maintenance of logs, records, documentation and logistic support. Safety, GMP, HACCP, AIB compliance.
Requirements: 1-2 years' maintenance mechanic experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification from amaintenance or technical school preferred. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Strong critical thinking skills. Must have the ability to obtain a forklift operator's license through company training. Position may require on-call status. Must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as necessary. Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position will be working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, various temperatures, mechanical parts, varying noise levels, etc.
