Learning and Development Manager - Direct Hire
Greater Sacramento Area, CA | Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities: Build and manage content and functions of the learning platform. Design and develop materials for new and existing courses using various delivery channels: instructor led (classroom and web-based) and self-paced (including learning delivery). Create and design documents for new and existing courses. Collaborate with and provide guidance to Training Specialist(s) and Subject Matter Experts. Build out training program to include online courses, tutorials and hosted web courses. Manage content of and coordinate training tracking via the Learning Management Software (LMS) program. Build, manage and implement new hire orientation program and onboarding program.
Requirements: 3 years' experience in Learning and Development or Corporate Training required. Bachelor's Degree preferably in Communications, Training, Instructional Design, Human Resources. Certification in training particularly in Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is a plus. Instructional design experience with a focus on Instructor-led, web-based and self-paced content both new course creation and existing course improvement is required. Experience with Soft Skills training and workshop facilitation (e.G. Employee development courses, management training) and operational subject matter is preferred. Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to occasionally travel.
