A thriving company in Livermore is currently in need of an experienced and resilient Human Resources Payroll Specialist to join their HR team. The HR team is in need of an individual with strong technical skills, good communication, and a go-getter attitude. Candidates with high volume (250+ employees), full cycle in-house payroll processing with at least two years of Human Resources experience and knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations are highly desired. This is a full time direct hire opportunity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Human Resources duties include but not limited to full cycle onboarding, new hire orientations, employee relations, EDD claims, and verifications of employment. Complete timely and accurate weekly payroll processing through check cutting and direct deposit processing; ensuring accuracy of wages, deductions, fringes, taxes and all related job costing, general ledger posting, and filings; working with superintendents to ensure accuracy of timecards and correct for inaccuracies. Responsible for month end payroll and yearly taxes. Deductions processing - advances and garnishments; tracking and transmittals. Performs trouble-shooting to identifyand correct payroll problems; assists employees by answering general questions regarding payroll procedures. Othertasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 2-3 years minimum working experience in a high functioning Human Resources group. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment and to analyze and resolve problems. Full cycle in-house payroll experience is ideal. Strong technical skills in MS Office Suite including Excel. Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend efficiencies on current processes and procedures. Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
