We are recruiting a Human Resources Manager for a client based in Yolo County. Our client is backed by a large global organization and they are offering an amazing benefits package. This is a Plant Human resources position supporting 220 non-union employees.

Responsibilities: Develops and administers various human resources policy and procedures. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Provide mentoring and guidance to human resources administrator. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrite job descriptions; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews. Handles employee relations investigations, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Leads people related initiatives, such as training and development plans and company values development.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/Business or equivalent experience. 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication. Consultation experience. Ability to work with diverse groups of employees. Demonstrated leadership experience. Strong employee relations. Knowledge and practical experience of Federal and CA state employment law is essential.
