Human Resources Manager - Direct Hire
South San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities: Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures. Handles employee relations investigations, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Manages Worker's Compensation. Oversees recruitment efforts and payroll processes. Ensurescompliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Leads people related initiatives, such as training and development plans.
Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Human Resources. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Master's degree in human resource management desirable. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. Previous experience with Labor Relations required. Adept at strategic thinking and experience leading and managing high visibility projects. Exemplary interpersonal, written, organizational and communication skills. Disciplined, focused, detail oriented and dedication to constant improvement. Knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits and compensation.
