Human Resources Generalist
West Sacramento, CA | Temporary Position
Responsibilities: Manage eligibility data, enrollment, deductions and process contributions for company group health benefits, 401k, FSA and COBRA. Interface with Payroll Administrator as necessary to ensure accurate information has been processed. Coordinate benefit changes, to include new enrollments, processing qualifying events and other changes, terminations. Update third party administrator website to comply with COBRA notifications regarding new-hires and terminations. Interface as appropriate with third party vendors for medical, dental, ancillary benefits, flexible spending plan and 401k program. Respond to emails/requests, phone calls as it pertains to group health benefits, 401k, Flexible Spending. Reconcile benefits invoices and audit against employee contributions to ensure integrity of the information. Determine eligibility for leave requests, working with the HR Generalist to determine the type of legally required leave(s) reasons that apply and provide appropriate documents to the employee. Work with HR Generalist on cases with a job performance or employee relations overlap; participate in the investigatory process and development of acase management strategy.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 - 5 years' benefits administration and leave of absence experience. MS Office Proficient. Current knowledge of HR Employment Law. Ability to work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Analytical and solution-oriented critical thinker.
