Our client in Sacramento is searching for a Human Resources Assistant to join their team. This position will report to the HR Director and provide administrative assistance to HR programs and processes. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); providing support and/orconducting trainings; promoting positive staff relations through the administration of human resources functions; ensuring integrity and security of confidential/sensitive matters, personnel files and other recordkeeping. Contract to hire opportunity!

Responsibilities: Carry out day-to-day department operations and guarantee performance standards are met as defined by the Human Resources Director. Maintain department files, records and/or computer databases. Prepare reports and personnel recordkeeping; support the HR team with routine metrics and data reporting. Enter and maintain HRIS data as needed. Oversee the records retention program. Track and administer company-wide evaluation and survey programs. Monitor employee timecards and communicate information relevant to attendance tracking and attendance performance management. Track and administer staff perks and rewardsprograms. Answer employee requests and inquiries; direct employees to appropriate personnel as needed. Update and maintain supply of forms and office supplies. Answer incoming phone calls from the public as needed.

Requirements: 3 years' experience in an administrative position; HR experience a plus. High School Diploma required. Ability to manage sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrated good judgement. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Effective communication skills both orally and written. Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations. Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
