Healthcare Regulatory Training Specialist
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver privacy and information security awareness and compliance education and training. Support investigations with oversight from the Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer on regulatory matters and concerns. Draft and respond to regulatory inquiries. Ensure that the privacy and information security awareness program meets industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. Communicate the privacy and informationsecurity policies to appropriate workforce members: presentations, newsletter articles, emails etc. Identify top privacy and information security risks and behaviors to effectively reduce risks to the organization. Assist in root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and investigative reports for privacy and information security incidents. Investigate and maintain documentation of privacy and information security incidents; ensure timely reporting to patients and government entities as required by law.
Requirements: Minimum five years' experience in compliance, privacy, security education or healthcare field. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Communications, Education, Information Security or related field. Knowledge of Federal and State privacy requirements and security of health information. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing and editing skills. Strategic thinker, ability to execute tactically, and build relationships across the organization. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use good judgement and clear a criminal background check.
