Healthcare Insurance Account Representative (P&C)
Downtown Sac, CA
Responsibilities: Accountable for day to day servicing of individual & family, Medicare and small group health clients. Communicate with group administrators and execute small group renewals. Monthly accounting of new business, broker of record and renewing business with team lead. New business sales of individual, small group and Medicare policies. To include application submission to underwriting, communicating additional underwriting requests, broker of record requests and follow ups with contracted health insurance carriers and members. Accurately collect and enter policyholder data, premium and secure information into brokerage and internal systems through the sales processes. Cross promote additional brokerage lines of coverage and seeks referral opportunities. Continually stay up to date with Healthcare legislation industry changes, including ACA, and Association plans.
Requirements: Minimum5 years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the area of Health Insurance Sales & Customer Service. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. P&C license required. Demonstrated knowledge of Health Insurance Industry (Individual, Small Group, Medicare), carriers, Affordable Care Act (ACA), Plan Offerings, insurance forms and service processes. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service and phone etiquette. Proficient MS Office skills; experience with CRMor other database management program. Highly articulate, analytical, problem solver, and team oriented.
