An established non-profit organization in downtown Sacramento has a new opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This is a long term, contract position, 6+ months, and fantastic opportunity to work with a highly engaged Human Resources team. The ideal candidate must be comfortable making presentations to groups of 15+ people and is extremely detail-oriented. Schedule is M-F, 8: 00 am to 5: 00 pm with long term flexibility to work within a 7: 30 am to 6: 00 pm schedule. Parking is provided as well.

Responsibilities: Support recruiting process by scheduling interviews, coordinating interview panel, preparing any correspondence to candidates. Prepare and process all new hire documentation, creates personnel files and ensures all required documentation is complete; processes I-9's and background investigations. Candidate reference checks. New Hire and Onboarding Orientation presentation setup and facilitation. Benefit enrollment for new hires. Enter and update employee data such as address changes, EEO Data, leave of absences, emergency contact information, employee terminations. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, scanning etc. Perform other HR duties as needed.

Requirements: 3+ years' experience supporting an HR department. Bachelor's Degree a plus. General knowledge of state and federal labor and employment laws. Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS programs. Excellent verbal and written communication. Self-motivated, willing to learn and show initiative. Strong organizational and time management skills.
