The Fleet & Dispatch Manager manages operations to ensure on time service is top notch. The manager collaborates with employees and vendors to ensure services are completed by deadline. The ideal candidate can think on their feet; possesses excellent critical thinking skills and has flexibility to manage a wide array of escalated dispatched issues. Our client provides excellent benefits, including retirement. Works hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm. No weekends required.

Responsibilities: Manage team of drivers providing them leadership guidance to help solve problems and offer improvement opportunities. Actively and efficiently monitor multi-line telephone system. Triage and resolve issues timely and cost effectively. Respond to driver questions regarding work related issues, service order problems, work rules, plans, policies or procedures. Ensure drivers are following assigned trips to plan while continuously looking for areas of improvement. Prepare daily records, communications, and maintain filing system for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and Department of Transportation (DOT) files. Driver scheduling and hours management. Assist with various data-entry as needed. Enforce driver compliance with established safety rules and regulations and measure compliance. Intake of accident/injury reports and disseminate information to appropriate departments for investigation and actions.

Requirements: 5 years' experience in Fleet management, including dispatching. Previous managerial or supervisor experience required. Must be open to works hours Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. High attention to detail; accuracy with data entry. Ability to use good judgement with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to establish strong rapport with customers. Customer service orientation. Strong MS Office skills. Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
