Facilities Manager - Direct Hire
Rancho Cordova, CA
Responsibilities: Support the Regional Facilities Director in the implementation of short and long-term projects for assigned sites. Administer ongoing facility audits concentrating on energy management and environmental safety. Manage facility central services such as, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking. Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness. Prepare RFPs, evaluate proposals from vendors. Ensure compliance with applicable building, fire and life safety, and occupational health codes and regulations. Support the annual budgetprocess Facilities, Grounds and Environmental Services.
Requirements: 3+ years related experience administering building and grounds maintenance and facilities operations. Bachelor's degree or Associates degree inConstruction Management, Engineering, Facilities Services Management, Project Management, or a related field. Working knowledge of applicable codes and regulations for local, state and federal agencies regarding facilities and building services. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to read construction plans, schematics, job and construction orders, and knowledge of related facilities services such as IT resources and software (i.E. CAD, workflow programs). Proficient in MS Office, and MS Share Point. 25%-35% travel is required. Fork Lift Certification is required; Fork Lift trainer is a plus.
