Echo Stress Technician
Responsibilities: Perform stress echocardiographic procedures on adult and geriatric patients with and without contrast. Explain procedures to patients; maintain patient confidentiality. Perform and monitors echocardiographic study of the heart, 2-dimensional, color flow mapping and TEE procedures of patients of all age groups. Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation byphysicians or other qualified medical staff. Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Prepares reports and video for physician and medical staff review.
Requirements: Minimum one year experience as Echo/Stress Technician. Completion of an Echo Technician program. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of EKG procedures and equipment. Ability to calmand reassure distressed patients. Current BLS. Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
