Customer Service Agent
Responsibilities: Updates and/or creates new patient statements. Explains statement contents/format, charge entries, billing and collection processes, 3rd party payer activities. Acts as first point of contact for incoming customer inquiries and requests by email, phone, and web portal channels. Records, edits, and tracks all customer interactions through customer relationship management tools. Prioritizes service requests and re-assigns or escalates appropriately. Identifies, interprets, analyzes, and researches issuesand seeks resolution to meet customer, expectations and within defined service level agreements.
Requirements: 2+ years' experience in Customer Service. Experience in medical billing and collections or experience in a medical setting is required. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Computer literacy, including Word and Excel; database software and EHR experience a plus.
