A large healthcare organization in Rancho Cordova has a great long term contract opportunity to assist with clinical program support. The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for verifying the credentials of physician'seducation, training, and licensure, data entry, compiling and analyzing data, and putting together application packets, among other duties as assigned. This is a 6 month contract, with potential for hire. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities: Reviews Credentialing Initiation requests to ensure no data is missing and enters any new information into database. Processes new applications. Generates re-application reports and corresponds with affiliates to initiate the re-application process. Records and tracks responses from primary sources. Assembles reappointment application packets and assists with projects as needed. Reviews received primary source verification and follows up as necessary. Ensures all required credentialing and re-credentialing applications are returned within the timeframe required, notifies medical group/clinic leadership, internal departments and the assigned Credentialing Specialist if the provider is non-compliant. Performs routine and complex data entry in both the corporate and facility level databases, ensuring database integrity is maintained atall times. Coordinates activities for department meetings including master calendar scheduling, meeting arrangements, preparing meeting agenda and supporting materials.

Requirements: 2+ years' healthcare experience, or similar relevant experience. 1 year of customer service experience. High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred. Working knowledge of reporting, auditing and data analysis required. Strong have attention to detail; focused and able to work in fast paced environments. Experience conducting primarysource verification of physician's education, training and licensure. Excellent customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Computer proficiency including MS Office suite. Ability to use good judgement and must be able to clear a criminal background check.
