Contracts Manager - Direct Hire
Sacramento, CA | Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities: Work with different levels of staff within the organization to analyze and solidify the overall contract strategy. Partner with Project Management team. Coordinate actions with internal procurement and legal teams. Report status of current contract processes to management. Resolve existing contract conflicts. Create language standards and rules for existing and new contracts. Serve as a liaison between internaland external parties during contract development and negotiation stages. Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing; ensure they are accurately executed and satisfied. Follow up to guarantee contractual payments have been made. Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to organization. Manage contract Change Orders and Claims. Set up and manage procurement structure, policies and processes. Negotiate terms with suppliers/sub consultants.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in project/systems based business. Passenger Transit or Construction based experience a plus. BA/BS in Business, Finance or Business Law required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks/responsibilities, and deal with changing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills. Prior experience in implementing contract management systems. Knowledge of and expertise using various proven negotiation methods. Ability to articulate goals, strategies and direction. Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
