Our client is an established healthcare provider based in Rancho Cordova who is looking for an experienced ContractSpecialist. This role has a variety of duties to including maintaining contract documentation, developing and interpreting reports and making recommendations, and analyzing the contracts. Candidates must have previous healthcare organization experience. This a temporary opportunity for approximately 2-3 months, with the potential to be extended longer.

Responsibilities: Partner with the contracting team to develop proposals and pricing models for new business opportunities, contract renewals, contract modifications and service changes. Negotiate proposals, renewals and service changes. Provide guidance on contract language. Evaluate the financial impact of renewals, service changes and other contract modifications and activities. Evaluate contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations. Developreports, analyze financial data and make appropriate recommendations. Review, analyze and ensure that all contractsare meeting compliance. Assists with obtaining signatures and monitoring expiring contracts. Collaborate with physicians, leadership and legal counsel.

Requirements: 3+ years of either contracts or legal experience within a healthcare environment. Bachelor's degree preferred. Current and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contracts, service issues and related business practices, policies and procedures. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines. Excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a broad and diverse group of customers, peers and staff. Proven ability to establish and cultivate effective customer relationships, including strong skills in negotiation techniques. Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills. Proven ability to comprehend, interpret and apply contract terms and conditions. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office - Excel and Word skills.

Pay: $23-$29/hour
