Construction Billing Specialist - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Maintain job-costed accounts payable workflow including new vendor set up, W-9s, verifying, coding, routing and securing invoice approval, posting. Create and monitor weekly check run requests and approvals through vendor payments via funds transfer or checks. Review, obtain approval, and input all employee expense reports and corporate credit expenses in accordancewith the company's travel & expense policies. Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month-end close. Create and post journal entries as needed. Create, organize, prioritize and interpret recurring and ad hoc reports for various corporate entities and managers. Assist with evaluation and set up of new corporate reporting systems as needed. Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset log and monthly depreciation entries. Assist with documenting standard corporate operating procedures and recommend process improvements to promote efficiencies and timeliness.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years' accounting experience, minimum 3 years' experience in construction accounting. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple activity streams in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of QuickBooks and the Microsoft suite. Self-starter with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
