Construction Accountant - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements. Maintain job cost files and prepare reports including cost-to-complete reports. Manage billings and lien releases. Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Collections. Prepare & process payroll (prevailing wages) and payroll taxes. Prepare and monitor payments to subcontractors and suppliers. Maintaining ledger and reconcile accounts. Coordinate with banking representatives. Prepare and deposit checks. Prepare periodic job cost reports onall open jobs. Provide monthly reports including job cost, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and profit/loss analysis. Prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax returns.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. 5-8 years' experience with in the construction industry and job costing is required. Experience with lien laws. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
