Clinical Technical Support Specialist
Responsibilities: Primary support for all EHR application functions. Participate in workflow process redesign efforts. Evaluate and analyze changes and new functionality for EHR applications utilizing change management documentation. Develop training materials to facilitate adaptation and user understanding of functionality. Coordinate and lead training sessions with end users. Ensure training is scheduled and completed for new users. Test and troubleshoot new modules, upgrades, and patches in EHR & EDR applications. Work with IT staff and Clinical Systems Administrator to analyze, plan, test, recommend and implement hardware and software directly related to electronic health systems. Design and customize clinical templates, provider order sets, note titles, and GUI screen views, as appropriate. Provide on-going system evaluation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
Requirements: 2 years' experience in clinical applications support or a degree in Medical Informatics. Comprehensive understanding of eClinicalWorks required. Ability to work on multiple, concurrent, complex projects and prioritize urgency of each project. Ability to provide a range of systems training and support activities for end users of varying skill levels. Knowledge of HIPAA. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors, speak in front of groups and writepolicies, procedures, memoranda and training materials. Knowledge of computer maintenance, software support, cabling, security, hardware selection and installation preferred. Able to work after-hours and on weekends, as needed. Available by phone after-hours and on weekends, as needed. May need to travel locally for training to clinic sites as needed.
Pay: $22-$26/hour DOE.
