Certified Medical Assistant (Occupational Health)
Responsibilities: Accompany patient to exam/procedure room. Prepare patient for examination and treatment; take vital signs etc. Check schedule and organize patient flow. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including equipmentsterilization. Assist with scheduling patient tests and treatments. Ensure that all treatment rooms are cleaned and stocked at the end of the workday. Process prescription refills in compliance with established procedures, assuring authorization for prescriptions as needed.
Requirements: Minimum 6 months-1 year medical assisting experience. CCMA or National certification required. DOT Drug Screen Collection Certification and/or DOT Breath Alcohol Testing Certification required. Current BLS required. Knowledge of Infection control guidelines. Ability to take vital signs and record in electronic medical records. Positive attitude and cheerful demeanor. Working knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures. Ability to use good judgement and clear a criminal background check.
