Bookkeeper - Direct Hire
Stockton, CA | Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities: Weekly duties: Record, deposit and allocate all check/cash/ credit card/EFT receipts. Record invoices submitted forpayment; obtain authorization, cut checks; submit for parish signatures and mailing. For hall rental events and rental property leases: enter and track deposits, fees and other monies due, and receipts, expenses and deposit refunds. Enter and maintain parishioner information and parish stewardship, pledge and donation information. Process and submit to payroll services company the biweekly employee payroll. Monthly: Reconcile and balance all parish and preschool accounts and subsidiary accounts. Prepare the standard suite of parish monthly financial and stewardship reports. As Requested: Develop and prepare customized financial, stewardship, and other reports for parish committees and ministries. Quarterly: Prepare giving statements for mailing to all parishioners. Annually: Prepare the books for annual audit by Parish Audit Committee.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years professional experience in full cycle Bookkeeping. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a highly confidential environment. QuickBooks and Excel skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
