We are recruiting for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for an innovative, non-profit, Healthcare organization in Sacramento. This position is a direct hire opportunity for a practice that provides a work/life balance as wellas CALPERS benefits. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse who enjoys working closely with all age ranges, and has a BSN or MSN and their License from the State of California. Experience with Public Health, developmental disabilities, and qualifying diagnosis is a plus!

Responsibilities: The Behavioral Health RN will beresponsible for assessing applicants for eligibility for services, provide evaluation, assessments, and consultation, as well as address client needs in alignment with the practice standard procedures.

Requirements: BSN or MSN required with RN License from the State of California and one year of nursing experience required. 1 year experience as an RN, with experience as a Public Health Nurse preferred. Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. Knowledge of developmental disabilities and qualifyingdiagnosis. Excellent active listening and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking; and excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and time management. Possessionof exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with physicians, staff, community health workers, patients and their families. Knowledge of training and consultative techniques, communityorganization and resources, and programs and services for the developmentally disabled. Knowledge of developmental process from conception through adulthood, health and disease aspects of diagnosis, and treatment and management ofdevelopmentally disabled children and adults.
