An Accounting Supervisor is needed for an excellent employer in the Central Valley. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for leading daily accounting functions in addition to overseeing the work of four direct reports. The ideal candidate will be able to lead by example and mentor their team in a hands on contributor leadership role. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity with an organization that offers great benefits and incentives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Corrects and guides other team members as to general ledger accounts, job costing and reconciliations, audits the work of the accounting department, provides direction and training as needed for procedures, new programs, or processes. Performs general ledger and close responsibilities identified in assigned checklist for journal entries and reconciliations, cash accounting, fixed assets, fund reporting, ownership reporting and financial and regulatory reporting and supports updates. In a timely manner prepares complex journal entries and other forms for month-end general ledger close for area of responsibility (e.G. Specific program or setof accounts) as consistent with established policies. Prepares complex general ledger account reconciliations for area of responsibility and resolves issues in a timely manner. Prepares tax, audit, quarterly reporting, and various regulatory schedules/filings. Understands how to use general ledger and subsystems in order to research problems and advise other staff. Other projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business concentrations. Must have a minimum of five years accounting experience and two years prior supervisory experience. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively and independently. Ability to work with, train and coach other team members and experience in a leadership role. CPA is not required, a plus.
