Accounting Manager With Construction Experience - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for the Accounting Department. Perform hands-on accounting functions. Manage in-house weekly payroll process, review all payrolls andweekly payroll tax payments. Manage and review certified payroll reporting and apprenticeship labor requirements. Quarterly and annual payroll tax preparation. Responsible for month end closing process, financial reporting packetpreparation, job cost review and Work In Progress calculations. Translate project accounting data into actionable management information for Project Managers. Ensure that current project budgets are obtained from Project Manager and updated in a timely manner. Streamline, establish and manage accounting systems, procedures, invoicing process, policies and controls. Preparation for year-end close, annual audit review, 401k audit, workers compensation audit.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Minimum 5 years full cycle construction accounting experience is required. Demonstrated success running an Accounting Department and supervising staff. Experience with a modular job cost accounting software package is required. Detailed-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and to act as a financial advisor to management, making recommendations and proposing financial direction. Mentoring skills and a desire to help staff grow in their jobs. Strong process improvement, problem solving SKILLS.
