Accounting Manager - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Oversee Accounts Payable process including approvals, check runs, timeliness of payments, and aging. Oversee Accounts Receivable including aging, notice of completions, liens, support operations and accounts receivable specialist with any billing issues, change management review. Manage in-house weekly payroll process, review all payrolls and weekly payroll tax payments. Manage and review certified payroll reporting and apprenticeship labor requirements. Quarterly and annual payroll tax preparation. Responsible for month end closing process, financial reporting packetpreparation, job cost review and Work In Progress calculations. Fixed asset and depreciation management. Equipment tracking and reporting. Daily banking cash management. Preparation for year-end close, annual audit review, 401k audit, workers compensation audit.
Requirements: 5+ years' experience in construction accounting. Bachelor's Degree in business/accounting or equivalent experience. Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to delegate and cross-train effectively. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills including ability to build macros and database queries
