Accounting Manager - Direct Hire
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for leading accounting and administrative staff members, including training, support, monitoring and evaluation of staff members. Perform and supervise accounting activities such as maintaining the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and process month end close. Perform auditing functions and complete other financial forms and reports. Ensures all journal entries are reasonable and decisions are supported by generally accepted accounting principles. Reviews financial statement results, conducts analysis and research. Audits reports generated by the team to validate data and provide input; ensures timely submission. Oversee and participate in all human resources and payroll duties. Handle HR related functions including open enrollment, insurance audits, disciplinary actions, recruitment, onboarding, exit interviews, and payroll. Other duties as needed.
SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business concentrations is required. Experience in general accounting as typically acquired in 8 or more years. Ability towork in a fast-paced environment with on-going deadlines is preferred. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Advanced Excel skills required. Ability to provide constructive feedback to management and team members to support continuous improvement. Can work with, train and coach other team members. High level of attention to accuracy and detail.
