Accounting Manager - Direct Hire
Sacramento, CA | Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities: Manages accounting staff - conducts performance appraisals, actively coaches/mentors. Oversees maintenance of general ledger accounts and reconciliations. Ensures timely monthly closing. Prepares all monthly financial reporting packages, including balance sheets and P&L's, for review by the Chief Financial Officer. Also reviews and distributes monthly expense reporting and prepares annual 1099's. Monitors and coordinates daily review of cash and bank activity; projects free cash flow and reviews/approves bank reconciliations. Maintains key certifications and other corporate compliance documentation. Monitors and ensures all tax obligations are met, including federal, state and local regarding sales tax, income tax and property tax, as applicable. Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in business; MBA a plus. 5 years' experience in an accounting department with history of increasing functional and supervisory responsibility. CPA, preferred. 2 years public accounting experience, preferred. Professional, driven, independent and responsive. Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong ability to multi-task. Maintains high degree of confidentiality and integrity. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Highly analytical with ability to solve complex problems related to financial concepts. Ability to be a proactive, hands-on producer as well as a leader and strategic thinker.
