Our client based in Rancho Cordova is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their busy accounting team. The ideal candidate will have two years' experience working within an accounting department. The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Accounting Manager by providing management with financial information through researching and analyzing accounts. This is a full time, temporary to hire opportunity!

Responsibilities: Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts. Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Monitors company bank accounts and prepares documentation for reconciliation. Ensures client billing is done in a timely manner and reported accurately in the accounting software.

Requirements: College Degree and/or 2+ years accounting experience. Knowledge of GAAP guidelines. Ability to produce and analyze reports. Deadline-Oriented with excellent time management skills. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient with MicrosoftOffice software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiar with QuickBooks a plus!
