Job Description
We are recruiting a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to join a stable and profitable ($50-$70 million in Revenue) manufacturing organization in Stockton, CA This senior level role will guide the financial strategy of a growing company, serve as the key accounting and financial reporting authority, and oversee IT and Human Resources. Our client offers a collaborative culture, 401(k) with 6% employer match, and this position reports to a well-liked and respected CEO. This position is 100% onsite and will be the successor to the CFO. Salary: $160,000-$180,000 DOE.
The qualified candidate will have strong leadership experience from an accounting and finance background.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks

Contribute to strategic business planning and execution

Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems

Lead the improvement of the company’s finance IT system
-
Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel

Oversee all audit and internal control operations
-
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance
-
Oversee monthly P&L and cash forecasts
-
Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders

Manage corporate insurance and 401k plan audits

Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives

Develop career paths and succession plans for finance team members

Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years of experience as Controller or in a senior management role

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, MBA preferred

CPA or CMA certification preferred

Cross-functional experience in IT, HR, or operations

In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices

Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting

An analytical mind with a strategic ability

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced cost accounting

Expertise in federal and state tax regulations

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
